Hotline for a safer Internet (Safernet) - Save the Children Romania
Save the Children Romania is a nongovernmental organization
which has 25 years of activity in the promotion and protection
of children’s rights. 1.150.000 children have been included in
educational, protection, medical and social support programs,
aiming at encouraging their participation in actions that promote
and recognize their rights. Save the Children Romania is full
member of Save the Children International since 1998. Since
2008, Save the Children is the National Coordinator of the
Sigur.info program endorsed by the European Commission,
contributing to the safe use of Internet by children and ensures
the training of the teaching staff.

developed in the "Sigur.Info" project (SaferInternet), financed
by the European Commission and implemented by Save the
Children Romania. SAFERNET.RO Hotline is a civil contact point,
which receives and processes reports referring to materials on the
internet of an illegal or harmful nature for children.
The hotline represents the on-line reporting facility developed
by Save the Children within the project „Sigur.info", financed
by the European Commission.
