  • Child Dignity Alliance - Technology Working Group Report: In 2017, the Centre for Child Protection at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome hosted the World Congress on Child Dignity in the Digital World, in partnership with the WePROTECT Global Alliance and Il Telefono Azzurro. A ‘Declaration of Rome’ was presented, and accepted, by Pope Francis at the World Congress. In order to implement the commitments made in the Declaration, the Child Dignity Alliance convened six working groups so as to stimulate global awareness of the global CSAM pandemic through research, policy and interfaith collaboration. The Technology Working Group was charged with examining the role of technology in combatting the proliferation of online child sexual exploitation and abuse imagery.A focus of this report is on the need to dismantle the chief technical, legal and policy silos that are frustrating real collaboration among law enforcement, industry, government and the non-government sector.
